One of my favorite uses is in the treatment of my hair. I mix one part of baking soda with one part of shampoo and rinse my hair with it before each shampoo. This treatment helps prevent dry hair and even out hair texture. This is an inexpensive way to restore shine to your hair after a hard days work or to keep your hair looking silky soft.
Another use for baking soda is in the treatment of dandruff. Mix two to three spoons of it with one cup of shampoo. Use this cure for your problem areas on your body. Dandruff is a common problem that is experienced by many people. The shampoo will help alleviate some of your symptoms of dandruff, while the baking soda will help sooth your scalp and relieve itching from flakes. This can be used two to three times per week to treat dandruff and keep your scalp healthy.
I also use baking soda in my homemade soaps. I pour some into my soap molds, which are available at any drug store. Next, I add oil drops to make my soap liquid and pour it into my tub and let the soaps sit overnight. Next morning, wash my hair with my regular shampoo and leave to soak.
The third and final of my list of baking soda uses for hair is for hair conditioner. If you are like me and use a ton of conditioners on your hair each month then you may want to consider using this for conditioner. I simply mix it in with my shampoo. The smell is wonderful and it leaves my hair nice and shiny. This is a great alternative if you normally use store bought conditioners that leave your hair feeling greasy.
Now you know three ways you can use this product for your hair, but there are other ways to use it. One way you can use baking soda for your hair is if you want to get rid of hair fall. I don’t know why many people have problems with their hair but it does happen. If you want to fight this problem just add a few drops into your shampoo. You will immediately notice a difference in how your hair looks and feels.
I also like to use baking soda as a substitute for shampoo. I don’t know why some people will tell you to avoid using this because it has a strong odor, but it really doesn’t. I usually add a couple of drops to my shampoo. It gives my hair a nice natural smell without having to worry about the long term effects of the chemical additives in commercial shampoo. Of course, using this as a substitute doesn’t work for everyone, but it is worth a try if your hair tends to be oily or thin.
